Filmmaking Unpacked: A Guide to Navigating Creative Dilemmas is a free, Open Educational Resource discussing the toughest psychological, philosophical, and practical questions we face as filmmakers and creators of any type. The first season, launched in January 2025, is written by Ross Morin, delivered in 14 episodic chapters (roughly the amount of weeks in a semester). It can be used, without permission, for free, in high school, college, and graduate level courses. It is particularly designed for those who haven't gone to college, won't go to college, or, if they did go to college, they didn't get the film education that they really wanted. Listen to it below or wherever you get your podcasts. It is an indie/DIY project written/performed/produced/edited by Ross Morin out of his hopes to make the field of filmmaking a more intellectually curious, humble, and morally thoughtful place.
